Premiere of Don Carlo at  Mariinsky Theatre


The  broadcast a special TV program about Mariinsky theatre.  It was broadcast on 18.01 2013.

There was a part about the Premier of “Don Carlo” in this program.

On the eve of the Verdi’s bicentenary,  Maestro Gergiev has decided to present the audience to the opera “Don Carlo” in the author’s edition Five-Acts, the so-called “Modena” edition of 1886.

In this production, Evgeny Nikitin acted as Phillip II.






New Parsifal at the MET


Evgeny Nikitin features as the wicked Klingsor in the new production of  ’Parsifal’  at the MET (Feb 15-March 8).


This new production will be transmitted live around the world on March 2, 2013 as part of The Met Live in HD series.





The Mariinsky II Opening Gala


The new stage of the Mariinsky Theater will open on 2 May. 


The opening night gala concert will feature Ildar Abdrazakov, Yuri Bashmet, Olga Borodina, Plácido Domingo, Leonidas Kavakos, Yekaterina Kondaurova, Ulyana Lopatkina, Alexei Markov, Denis Matsuev, Anna Netrebko, Yevgeny Nikitin, René Pape, Mikhail Petrenko, Ekaterina Semenchuk, Sergei Semishkur, Vladimir Shklyarov, Diana Vishneva. 


This programme will be broadcast live on  Mariinsky TV and Arte live web.   And one hour later delayed-live on 1TV.  4 May at 21:00(CET) on Mezzo TV.


In this gala, he appeared on the Coronation Scene from Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov, as Boris.
