On the eve of the Verdi’s bicentenary, Maestro Gergiev has decided to present the audience to the opera “Don Carlo” in the author’s edition Five-Acts, the so-called “Modena” edition of 1886.
In this production, Evgeny Nikitin acted as Phillip II.

The Mariinsky II Opening Gala
The new stage of the Mariinsky Theater will open on 2 May.

This programme will be broadcast live on Mariinsky TV and Arte live web. And one hour later delayed-live on 1TV. 4 May at 21:00(CET) on Mezzo TV.
