Evgeny Igorevich Nikitin (born 30 September 1973 in Murmansk *1) is a Russian bass-baritone opera singer.
He entered the Saint Petersburg conservatory in 1992. Aged 23, he has become a soloist with the Mariinsky Theatre and was soon invited to major theaters and festivals through Europe, the Americans and Asia. He is particularly known for his roles in Russian opera such as Boris Godunov, Prince Igor, Shaklovity and Demon, but has also had success in Wagnerian roles as Der Holländer, Wotan and Amfortas. Wagnerian roles occupy a special position in his repertorie.

• Recipient of the Golden Sofit, St Petersburg’s most prestigious theatre prize, for the role of Grigory Gryaznoi in the opera The Tsar’s Bride (“Best role in musical theatre”, 2005)
*1 Murmansk is located on the Kola Peninsula in northern European Russia on the Barents Sea (not in Siberia!).
