In summer 2014, Evgeny Nikitin will perform Don Pizarro in Fidelio, re-joining under the baton of Marc Minkowski at the Verbier Festival, a high-profile Swiss event.

The soloist of the Mariinsky Theater, acclaimed on the best opera stages of the world came to the Verbier Festival for the second time to perform Don Pizzarro in the concert version of Beethoven's "Fidelio".

The 2014 Gramophone Classical Music Awards shortlist has been published.  Marc Minkowski & MDLG's precious recording <Wagner: Der fliegende Holländer and Dietsch: Le Vaisseau Fantôme>

has been nominated for opera category.

In this recording, Evgeny Nikitin is the title role (Der fliegende Holländer).
